Strategies for Competitive Exam

Competitive exams are designed to filter out the ordinarily interested people from the group of talented people. Although there is no foolproof way to prove all those who secure high marks and grades are actually interested in the subjects they have studied. Many a student find a fault here about the education system. They are totally wrong. At a given point in time, when one is more interested in a particular course then he or she must have shown extraordinary interest in studying about them and acquiring additional knowledge about them and retaining and applying that knowledge until such exam.

Achieving good grades at competitive exams requires a good strategy. One needs to identify what are the favourite profession or topics for themselves. Identify careers. Students should have been given unbiased counselling from about the 8th standard itself. Encouraging them to understand the basics and career path is important.

If interest is shown in Science then the first subject that one should get command in early ages (that is from 8th standard to 10th standard) is math. Math is extremely and increasingly important between 8th to 12th classes. Science is important at least from the 9th and 10th standard. Interest generation and then trying to consolidate those interest depends on many in-situ factors. It can not be achieved overnight. Thus parents and elders should be the constant guiding forces for the young kids. This phase should result in setting a goal for himself/herself.

To build towards favourite careers facing competitive exams is inevitable, Whether it is science, commerce or arts.
